Latest Grenada Travel Advisory

Grenada is open for business – Pure Grenada Just for You

Summary Requirement

Grenada has moved from the ‘traffic light’ system to a three tier system of Caricom Travel Bubble; Low Risk Countries; All Other Countries. The UK currently sits in the ‘All Other Countries’ category (along with most European countries, Canada, USA) and these revised entry requirements now apply.

Grenada government this week confirmed revisions approved by Cabinet that are now in place with immediate effect and are available to see here: https://covid19.gov.gd/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Grenada_Entry_Protocol_Sept21.pdf

  • Negative PCR test required 7 days before arrival in Grenada.
  • No PCR testing at Grenada's airport.
  • Our guests can come directly to Calabash from the airport.
  • Guests will be required to spend at least 4 days within the hotel as a quarantine period. Hotel must be paid for in advance.
  • Guests will have use of all the hotel's facilities during the 4 day "quarantine period". As most of our guests tend to spend most of their stay within the hotel, we do hope this requirement does not cause any inconvenience.
  • For those wishing to explore Grenada, after 4 days, a PCR test (fees will apply) can be done to allow free movement around the island.
  • Ronatrac track and trace app downloaded (not available on Iphone yet)
  • Homeowners can request to quarantine at home and will be given a PCR test on arrival at the airport.  Their home must be separate from any other property.  No apartments. These will be checked and approved by officials. Food deliveries must be arranged so no human interactions for 4 days.  After that you must take another PCR test.

Grenada's fantastic management of the pandemic means that guests visiting us DO NOT have to quarantine when returning to the UK or US.

We consider these new protocols to be sensible but also attractive and commend the Government of Grenada on their strategy to welcome tourism back to Grenada in a safe way.

Please see the full list of 59 approved accommodation here: https://www.puregrenada.com/travel-advisory/  - The most familiar with names for the UK market include Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel, True Blue Bay Boutique Resort - and The Point at Petite Calivigny which opened on the 1st of October.
