This year the board has decided to use a virtual format for "ANTOR Meets the Media" and keep to the published date of Tuesday 29 September. We are extending the hours from 2 - 8 pm to accommodate working parents and allow those who are back in the office to participate. We will be offering staff writers and editors the opportunity of a preview from 2 to 4 pm. We want to provide you with the opportunity to network with the travel media from across the country, to increase engagement for your destination, build relationships with different media types and find out what their plans are for the rest of the year and 2021.
This event will take place on a virtual platform, which will be the perfect forum for members and guests to meet and exchange ideas. Each destination will have a stand and meeting space where they can be visited by the media at their leisure. The event will aim to drive the media in to network with you in your meeting space with the option of taking information away if they want to, but from our past AMTM event experience they are mostly looking to talk ideas through.
We will be targeting 150 different media contributors, ranging from travel writers, editors to bloggers and influencers.
There will be a networking virtual bar and a help desk. We will welcome the media in the auditorium and brief them on the format, although, video instructions will be sent out to everyone ahead of time including hosts. We can also have short videos showing in the auditorium throughout the event.
We also recommend each destination offers a prize to attract the maximum amount of media to their stand, only those who have met with the destination will qualify for their prize.
