Dominican Republic has announced the development of “Eden Roc Cap Cana” by the private luxury boutique hotel firms - Cap Cana and Solaya Hotels. The 8,000 square meter (85,600 square feet) luxury resort is being developed within Cap Cana by Solaya Hotels and is set to open its doors in winter 2011. The luxury lifestyle boutique hotel, consisting of 37 bungalows/suites and a total of 41 rooms ranging in size from 120 to 400 square meters (1285 to 4280 square feet), each with a private swimming pool and a private spa area, will feature a wide array of amenities and entertainment programs. Eden Roc Cap Cana will be affiliated to the Leading Hotels of the World, a prestigious luxury hospitality organization representing the world’s finest hotels and resorts. Modelled after the luxurious and glamorous French and Italian Riviera, Eden Roc Cap Cana will feature Mediterranean Revival style architectural elements. "Our ultimate goal is to create a 6-star boutique hotel in a unique concept, within the Dominican Republic rivalling the world's best boutique hotels in Europe, Asia and North America in every aspect,” said Franck Messiah, Vice President of Solaya Hotels. “We are certain that Cap Cana is the ideal place to carry out our project and we are convinced that this will be one of the world’s principal destinations within the next 5 years.” The resort will offer its guests the option of two luxury restaurants, including a main restaurant featuring Italian and French Mediterranean cuisine, a private beach and an outdoor swimming pool. In addition, guests will also have access to Cap Cana’s other facilities which include a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, a full service marina, spas, retail shops, water sports and yacht club.
