“Dominican Fashion 2010” has become, in the past few years, the Caribbean’s main fashion event. This year, the event will be dedicated to world renowned Dominican fashion designer Oscar de la Renta. At the same time, for the second consecutive year the fair will provide the necessary space for young designers to exhibit their collections. This important fashion event is scheduled from 18th – 23rd October 2010 in Santo Domingo’s landmark Hotel Embajador. In previous editions, renowned names from the international fashion world, such as Carolina Herrera and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada have been honoured at the event. This year young up-and-coming fashion designers such as Carlos Ubiera will participate with his “Horizon,” collection; Alex Gutierrez with his “Fetish” collection; John Cotes with his “Monarch” and Jusef Sanchez with his “Specchio” collection. In addition, Sarah Cury will present her collection “Intelequia” while Maria Elena Chotin will show her “Intemporel” pieces.
