NEW GOLF COURSE OPENS ON THECLIFFS OF THE CARIBBEAN SEA

Puntacana Resort & Club recently opened its second championship golf course, designed by award winning designer Tom Fazio and features breathtaking gardens designed by Jesus Ibañez, the famous Spanish landscape artist. “The Corals golf course features breathtaking scenery, side holes situated by ocean cliffs, rolling terrain and greens on the edge of a saltwater lake, plus a memorable mix of variety and strategy,” said Fazio. “With a variety of short and long holes, played both in favour and against the wind, and an impressive diversity of visual elements, playing at ‘The Corals’ will definitely be an unforgettable experience,” said the designer. The first golf course built in this residential tourism complex was “La Cana”, designed by P.B. Dye, which opened in 2001. It was the first golf course in the Caribbean to use the hybrid paspalum grass. The third golf course, which will also be designed by P. B. Dye, will be named “Hacienda.” It is scheduled to open in 2011.
