Twice weekly British Airways flights to Grenada from 28th March
From 28 March 2010, Grenada is set to welcome a second weekly British Airways flight from London Gatwick, bringing the number of flights available to UK travellers to four a week. British Airways' current Tuesday departure will continue to operate via Antigua while the new Sunday service will operate via Barbados. Flights are also available on Wednesday with Monarch Airlines and on Thursday with Virgin Atlantic.
Sharon Bernstein, Grenada Board of Tourism Director UK & Ireland said: "The twice weekly flights provide greater flexibility for travellers seeking stays other than seven or fourteen nights. This is great news for bridal couples and honeymooners as well as those who want longer to soak up the vibrant culture and breathe in the spice-fragranced air of Grenada."
Visitors to Grenada in April can be among the first to see the latest artwork addition to the Underwater Sculpture Park and catch the inaugural Aqua Easter Jazz Festival at Mangrove Hideaway Bar and Grill on 4 April. National celebrations marking the 300th anniversary of iconic Fort George in capital St George's will showcase music, food, and art and from 30 April to 2 May sister island Carriacou will resound to traditional rhythms for the Maroon and String Band Music Festival.
