LEBANEESE DESIGNER ELIE SAAB COMES TO DOMINICANA MODA 2012
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LATIN AMERICA, THE FAMOUS INTERNATIONAL DESIGNER WILL BE CLOSING THE SEVENTH EDITION OF DOMINICAN REPUBLIC’S OFFICIAL FASHION WEEK.
The organisers of Dominican Republic’s prestigious Fashion Week, Dominicana Moda, have announced that world renowned international designer Elie Saab will be the featured Designer at this year’s Fashion Event, which takes place from 22nd – 27th October 2012 in the iconic Western hotel Ambassador in Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic.
Elie Saab was also invited to the "Fashion for Help 2012" charity event, which will close on Saturday 27th October, 2012.
Elie Saab became an overnight success after he became the first Lebanese designer to dress an Oscar winner, Halle Berry, in 2002. Other celebrities to wear his designs include Emma Watson, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Angelina Jolie, Celine Dion and Rihanna to name a few.
The participation of Elie Saab in Dominican is a milestone in fashion, not only in the Dominican Republic but the rest of the American continent. Dominicana Moda has become the most advertised event in the history of Dominican Republic.
