ANTOR Annual Review 2019


On 29 January the ANTOR Annual Review took place on the topic of “The power of Outdoors, knowing your consumer and understanding trends” sponsored and hosted by JCDecaux . A highly informative evening was enjoyed by a record number of 51 attendees and 27 destinations. As JCDecaux continues to digitally transform its business, Dallas Wiles, Chief Commercial Officer, was the first to present on ‘The Evolution of Outdoor Advertising’. Followed by three experts from travel related organisation who shared their experience of 2018 and and insights into 2019 trends:

Dominic Eddon & Nicola Farmer of TI Media presented the initial results of the ANTOR/TI Media Holiday Trends Survey showing that the main drivers for travel are experiences, family relaxation and sun, sea and shopping with 80% of those surveyed preferring to book early and benefit from early booking deals.

Kate Kenword, Executive Director of AITO gave members in-depth and statistics from AITO’s Annual Insights customer research, 63% of whom will be taking 3 or more holidays in 2019.

Kurt Jansen, Director of the Tourism Alliance updated attendees on where we were with Brexit on the day, leading up to the meaningful vote due in the House of Commons that evening: "Red lines mean no plan B and no compromise so what next?" Jansen stated.
